Validation

Every number in the book's Worked Examples and AXIOM Labs can be regenerated and is checked against the book.

What is checked, and what is still missing

  • Reproducibility

Each notebook regenerates its chapter's Worked Example and AXIOM Lab from the book's declarations, with fixed seeds; a Colab link runs it.

Still missing: A published environment file (Python and package versions).

  • Traceability

Concept → theorem → worked example → lab → notebook and workbook → AXIOM module exists in the content.

Still missing: The concept registry that makes the chain navigable (Phase 2).

  • Version control

The companions carry an edition label (V56).

Still missing: A changelog and errata page; the edition and last-run date on every lab page.

  • Validation

Checkpoints compare notebook results with the book's printed numbers, within tolerances set in the code.

Still missing: A public definition of a checkpoint and its tolerances.

  • Auditability

Every lab states its declarations: parameters, units, seeds.

Still missing: Owners and decision context belong to client work in AXIOM, not to the book.

These checks establish that the book's numbers are reproducible and internally consistent. They are not evidence that DCT improves outcomes in real enterprises; that is a research question, set out in the Open Questions.
